Alpha Protocol - Pile of Shame Game Review

Release Date:  June 1, 2010
Completion Date: July 6, 2012
Price: $6.76 - Amazon Prime (PC)

Your history plays a role in how people treat you during the first quarter of the game. I chose Freelancer.

A look at how you can improve your skills. Martial Arts, Pistols, and Assault Rifles was my route.

Dialogue decisions really do play a huge role in how the story plays out.

The beginning levels originally turned me off to the game. The level design in all of AP is rudimentary, but I got over it about halfway through because the story overshadowed it. My pipe dream while playing was keeping the AP story, but having the gunplay and graphics replaced with Mass Effect's gunplay and graphical prowess. If that were the case, AP would be a Superb (100/100.)

AP likes to show you the ladies. It's a bit humiliating how much the game objectifies them.

Like I said before, the game really wants you to talk to ladies, every dialogue decision you have with them determines whether or not you can have intercourse.

"It's time for another Retro Review with Qu..." Oh wait.

"IZA's Pent..." Oh wait.

Clive Barker's Jericho (demo) - Pile of Shame Game Review

Release Date: September 27, 2007
Completion Date: June 26, 2012
Xbox 360 Marketplace Demo

This gal was the most fun to play as. That's some side-boob if you couldn't tell.

You can't really tell in this image, but water is falling from an overhead grate. This is the very beginning of the demo. It set the tone appropriately.

Lighting and particle effects look great. That fireball is a power that the ninja 'Church' can use to burn any enemies who come near.

This demo looks and feels great. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I look forward to seeing if the full game can continually deliver that.

I love how Church looks holding the sword and pistol.

Aliens vs Predator (2010) - Pile of Shame Game Review

Release Date: February 16, 2010
Completion Date: June 25, 2012
Price: $8.99, New - Amazon Prime (PC)

When I saw that Weyland-Yutani logo and heard that familiar ping of my motion tracker I was engrossed.

It wants your baby.

This game has some beautiful vegetation.

Even the metal corridors look great and come alive. This should remind you of a scene from Aliens.

Predator view of some ruins.

Predator temple.

I saw Prometheus a few days before I started this game. This scene in the game reminded me of one of the cringe-worthy moments from the film. Thing is, this game came out first.

You on the left and the AvP schlock version of Weyland on the right, voiced by Lance Henriksen, who was Bishop in Aliens and Alien 3.

Call of Duty World at War - Pile of Shame Game Review

Release Date: November 11, 2008
Completion Date: June 21, 2012
Price: $9.80 (2) - Amazon Prime (Xbox 360)

This guy is your Russian leader. I wish I could have muted his face.

I have seriously underrated Medal of Honor and Metro 2033. Compared to this game, those games are rare gems. I used to think this game looked and played good. I would have told you that two weeks ago. This screenshot is from the only level I thought looked semi-good.

MISS COOKIE shooting some Nazi scum in their backs like a pro. She missed the first few point blank shots.

"I'd rather stab myself in the eyes!" -MISS COOKIE on how ugly this game was to her.

MISS COOKIE with her kill.

Enemies line up in each of their little cubby holes and wait to die.

This is predominately what you see when attempting to revive a Co-Op partner, crotch.

Dragon's Dogma (demo) - Pile of Shame Video Game Review

Release Date:  April 24, 2012
Completion Date: June 19, 2012
Xbox 360 Marketplace Demo

Dragons confirmed. This was in the first 20 seconds of the demo.

You could spend over an hour customizing your character if you wanted to. You can also customize your AI partner.

Look at that closer, closer.

The countryside looks promising. I look forward to playing the full game.

There are a lot of flying enemies in this game, if the demo is any indication.

Medal of Honor (2010) - Pile of Shame Game Review

Release Date: October 12, 2010
Completion Date: June 9, 2012
Price: $7.82 - Amazon Prime (PC)

Call of duty Modern Warfare is to Call of Duty 3, as Battlefield 3 is to Medal of Honor.  Medal of Honor is like Battlefield 3’s kid brother, in a good way. I enjoyed COD 3.

Don't shoot the goats. The opening of this game is quite awesome. That goes for all the story elements.

But this game has some major clipping and graphical issues.

Vehicle sequences are a little wonky but getting to drive an ATV is original and unique.

Although this looks sweet, it wasn't that fun. Being a soldier on the ground are the best parts of this game.
